Welcome to the CPJ Counseling Services EMDR Newsletter! We are so excited to share with you the latest news and updates about Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a revolutionary type of psychotherapy that has been helping people heal from traumatic experiences since its invention in the late 1980s.

EMDR is a form of psychotherapy that helps people overcome the negative effects of traumatic events. It utilizes a combination of talk therapy and eye movements to help people process and reprocess memories, allowing them to let go of their pain and move on with their lives.

Recent research has shown that EMDR is effective in treating a variety of issues including PTSD, depression, and anxiety. In addition, it can be helpful for performance anxiety.

Many people who have used EMDR have reported feeling more relaxed and less overwhelmed by their thoughts and emotions.
